A huge, heartfelt thank you to Ed, Kim, and the whole Ed & Kim Labry team for opening their barn doors with true Southern hospitality (and enough incredible BBQ to keep our production team fueled through the end of harvest!). Sauvignon Blanc hit the crush pad on August 6, the earliest harvest in Vineyard 29's history by 10 days. Having just finished bottling yesterday, Mother Nature was ready and so were we (well, one more bottling next week 😵‍💫)! Small crop, lows yields and beautiful concentration has us so excited to taste what's next. It's going to be fast and furious, bring it on !!

Update from the vineyard! Many of you have asked if we are worried about these recent showers in Napa Valley. With flowering done and fruit set complete (albeit very small clusters), we welcome this natural irrigation. 🌱

Between harvest and bottling, our estate wines are blended three separate times. The final blending, shortly before bottling is the most crucial and is the winemaker's last chance to touch the wines.
There is an undeniable energy at the winery this week as the final blends of the wine wines come together - the finishing touches and last opportunity to perfect before sealing in bottle. To winemaker Keith Emerson and assistant winemaker Ben Parodi, it is best know as "fourth quarter, finish the game!"
