🚒🔥 EXCITING NEWS FROM ELKHORN AREA FIRE DEPARTMENT! 🔥🚒

The Elkhorn Area Fire Department is excited to announce the arrival of our newest piece of apparatus — a 2026 Fouts Super Tanker 3000!

🚒 Apparatus Specifications:

* Kenworth T480 Chassis
* 450-Horsepower Engine
* 3,000-Gallon Water Tank
* 1,500 GPM Hale Fire Pump

This much-needed addition to our fleet will be a significant upgrade from our previous tender and will greatly enhance our firefighting capabilities!

One of the biggest improvements is the 1,500 GPM Hale pump. Unlike our older tender, this new apparatus will be capable of pumping and supplying firefighting handlines directly, allowing it to serve not only as a large-volume water supply unit but also as an active firefighting apparatus.

This added capability will be especially valuable in rural areas where hydrants are limited or unavailable, as well as during mutual-aid responses with our neighboring departments.

👨‍🚒 What’s Next?

Over the next few weeks, our firefighters will be busy completing driver/operator training, familiarizing themselves with the new apparatus, and mounting the necessary equipment before officially placing it into service.

This new tender represents an important investment in firefighter safety, operational efficiency, and our ability to protect the residents and visitors of the Elkhorn area.

We are excited to get this new apparatus into service and look forward to the many years it will serve our community!

🚒 Proudly Serving the Elkhorn Area!
