Love Fall concert season.

10/16/2026

A fun game I play when I’m working on an involved tuning.

Disclaimer: the client is wanting to use this generational piano that has been sitting unplayed for several years. This is Pass #1 of what will eventually be three-ish passes over the next few weeks to bring this instrument back into pitch. Much work yet to do but the instrument is responding well.

As a general rule, if you are a piano owner, it is recommended to have the instrument tuned once a year to keep the instrument healthy. All the cool kids have it done twice. Once when you turn on the furnace(like this weekend) and once in the late spring when the air conditioning starts its season. If you need help in maintaining your instrument; I’d be happy to help.

Grateful to have attended Ricki Klos’s hearing presentation a couple weekends back at MRCO. My ears feel so much better after a full day of work! And yes, I can still hear just fine wearing these while I tune. If anything, it drowns out the superfluous ambient noise.
