🌟Employee Spotlight: Mike Quinn🌟

At Flextech, we believe our people are our greatest asset, and Mike Quinn is a perfect example of what dedication, hard work, and continuous growth can achieve.

Mike joined Flextech in 2014 as our Receiving Manager. From the beginning, he demonstrated a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to helping the company succeed. His ability to learn quickly and consistently exceed expectations led to a promotion into a Customer Service role, where he continued to thrive. In Customer Service, Mike built strong relationships with customers and coworkers alike through his responsiveness, professionalism, and thorough approach to every task. His success in that role opened the door to an opportunity in Technical Sales, where he once again proved his versatility and ability to adapt to new challenges. As Mike continued to grow within the organization, his leadership skills became increasingly evident. His deep understanding of our business, commitment to operational excellence, and ability to work effectively across departments led to his promotion to General Manager. In that role, he played a key part in driving company performance and supporting both our customers and employees. Most recently, Mike was promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO), a well-deserved achievement that reflects years of hard work, dedication, and exceptional performance.

Mike is highly respected throughout Flextech and is known for being approachable, thoughtful, and extremely thorough in everything he does. He has earned the trust of his colleagues through his willingness to help others, solve problems, and lead by example.

We are excited to welcome Jason Bunge to the Flextech team as our newest Technical Sales Representative.

Jason brings a strong technical background, holding a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and a genuine interest in solving technical challenges and helping customers find the right solution for their applications. Over the coming weeks, he'll be spending time throughout our facility learning our materials, processes, and capabilities so he can better support our customers and partners. In his role, Jason will work closely with prospects and customers to identify opportunities where Flextech's engineered foam solutions expertise can help solve complex application needs.

Outside of work, Jason lives with his wife, Leila, and their two sons, Nico and Miles. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, he enjoys golfing, hiking, skydiving, playing poker, and exploring new restaurants. He also participates in charitable golf events and has an interesting hidden talent: before entering his professional career, Jason worked as a bartender for seven years and developed a passion for mixology. At home, Jason and his family are also kept company by their cat, Joe.

One thing Jason won't apologize for is cheering on his favorite team, the Green Bay Packers!

Last Friday the 19th, Flextech took the opportunity to gather as a team to recognize and celebrate Juneteenth.

We marked the day by sharing a catered lunch, enjoying some friendly competition with bags and bingo, and hosting a raffle for all employees. It was a great way to step away from our daily routines, connect with one another, and reflect on the importance of the day.

Juneteenth is a time to honor freedom, resilience, and progress. We’re proud to create moments that bring our team together while recognizing meaningful milestones in our shared history.

⭐ Employee Spotlight:

This month we’re excited to spotlight Colin McKillips. Colin started at Flextech in January 2015 as a machine operator and has worked his way into his current role as our Die Shop Manager. Colin is a very talented die and tool builder whose craftsmanship and problem-solving abilities play an important role in supporting our manufacturing operations. From precision steel rule dies to complex compression molding tool construction and secondary fixtures, his attention to detail and commitment to quality help ensure we continue delivering dependable results for our customers.

What makes Colin especially valuable, however, is not just his technical ability, it is the way he supports the people around him. He is always willing to step in and help wherever needed, whether that means assisting with a production challenge, troubleshooting tooling issues, or supporting fellow team members on tight deadlines. His team-first attitude and willingness to share his knowledge make him a key part of the Flextech team and a respected resource throughout the organization. We appreciate Colin’s hard work, dedication, and the critical role he plays at Flextech.

Like many manufacturers across our industry, Flextech is currently seeing broad-based price increase notifications from the majority of our suppliers. These increases are impacting key materials we use every day, including foams, adhesives, fabrics, and other critical raw materials.

Much of this price pressure is being driven by ongoing disruptions in global supply chains, including instability in the Middle East and its impact on petroleum-based inputs and energy-linked commodities. As many of these materials are petroleum-based or closely linked to global energy markets, the impact is both broad and difficult to avoid.

At Flextech, our priority is to manage these pressures proactively and transparently while minimizing the impact to our customers wherever possible. While we do foresee that pricing adjustments will be necessary, we are actively working with our supplier network to challenge increases, identify alternatives if possible, and delay or reduce these increases wherever we can.

Our focus remains on what we can control:

• Maintaining transparency and clear communication with our customers
• Strategically managing sourcing, inventory, and material alternatives
• Preserving the quality, consistency, and reliability you expect from Flextech
• Working directly with suppliers to mitigate cost increases before they reach our customers

We recognize that cost volatility creates challenges across the supply chain, and we are committed to navigating this environment in a way that prioritizes long-term partnerships over short-term reactions.
