Clean Up Day has been set for Friday, April 25th and Saturday, April 26th, 2025 for St. Marys residents only. The site is located at Kaulmont Park’s lower parking lot on Speer Street, off Theresia Street. Residents are to utilize the parking lot’s lower entrance and follow the directional signs. Access to the roll-offs have been set for 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 25th and 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 26th only. Residents are asked to unload themselves. City equipment will be present to assist with larger items only. Residents are asked to cooperate with the employees at the site to ensure efficient sorting. NO EARLY DUMPING is permitted. A camera surveillance system will monitor the site 24/7, anyone dumping outside of the designated time frame will be prosecuted.
Residents will be allowed to bring items that are difficult to haul away for disposition at a certified landfill. The following items will NOT be allowed: electronics, garbage, old cars, contractor materials, tree branches, clippings, or grass cuttings. The Elk County Recycling Center on Washington Street is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday year-round for electronics. Items such as old furniture, appliances, mattresses, water heaters, barrels, etc. are allowed if the item can be hand dumped by the residents. No hydraulic truck bed dumping is permitted. (If possible, please restrict the use of trailers.)
A separate roll-off will be set aside for metals. White metals must be kept separate and loaded into the designated roll-off provided. Residents are reminded that white metals can also be taken to Premier Metals on Delaum Road, they will offer you scrape value. Premier Metals is open Monday through Saturday.
PLEASE NOTE: Tire fees have changed. Residential tires will be accepted for a fee of $10.00 total for one to four tires (CASH ONLY). Each additional tire will be $5.00 each. The fee adjustment is necessary due to the excessive amount of tires (1,500) collected last year. The increased costs will help keep the program within budget while continuing to offer residents an affordable way to dispose of tires responsibly. Large truck or tractor tires will not be accepted. RIMS MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE TIRE. The landfill will not accept tires mounted on rims. Absolutely no commercial or industrial dumping will be accepted. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in ensuring successful and sustainable Clean Up Days!
