Fred Billotte has been part of the powdered metal industry for nearly four decades, and he’s learned just about every side of the process along the way.

He started as a molding press operator in 1987 before moving into sintering, production management and plant leadership. For more than 23 years, Fred has brought that experience to VQC and helped keep operations moving forward.

We’re glad to have Fred on the team and to recognize everything he’s contributed over the years!

Comtec would like to congratulate Chris Leonard on his 5 years of service to our Innovative Sintered Metals division. He started on 2nd shift as a Diesetter. He was then transferred to 3rd shift as our Supervisor/Diesetter which is the position that he holds today.

On August 28, 2026 our division in Clearfield, PA called Vision Quality Components (VQC) held their employee picnic. It was a beautiful day! There was a delicious lunch catered by the Country Butcher and yummy desserts. Games, such as Jenga, Co****le, and Closest to the Pin, were played with great participation. We also distributed the Comtec T-shirt with our new logo to all the employees! Thank you to the employees of VQC for making this picnic a great one! A special thanks to Brenda and Kelly for all the planning! Great job!

Meet Todd Bille! 👋

Todd brings more than 33 years of powder metal experience to COMTEC, including 15+ years in material science and 8+ years in plant leadership.

Since starting his manufacturing career in 1993, he's worked across Continuous Improvement, Quality, General Management, and more. Through it all, Todd has maintained a strong belief in building great organizations from the bottom up by empowering employees, strengthening teamwork, and helping everyone see the bigger picture.
