Raised on Kent Island, he grew up with a deep appreciation of what it means to be an Eastern Shoreman, and enjoys hunting, fishing, seafood and history. In 1974, Maryland started its waterfowl conservation hunting stamp program and each year, Craig would purchase two stamps -- one to sign and affix to his hunting license and another to save. This annual tradition is what started fascination with c

ollecting stamps. He launched Eastern Shore Philatelics in 2006 as a small business, selling stamps and postal history online at espstamps.com. Over the years, many clients who brought stamps to sell also brought coins. Craig's new interest in coins and precious metals quickly morphed into stacking gold and silver bullion. After retiring from the construction business, in 2020, Craig devoted his attention full-time to Eastern Shore Philatelics. Later, Craig became interested in refining gold and silver, and in 2022, he built a lab in St. Michaels, Maryland, where he could dedicate his attention to refining impure precious metal, rendering silver and gold into three and four nines fine bars and coins. Craig is now the proud owner of Black Lab Bullion, which is located in St. We buy and sell gold, silver and platinum, as well as purchase scrap karat gold jewelry, offering industry high prices. Great news for Bullion sales in Maryland! The Maryland State Legislature has agreed to reinstate the $1000.00 dollar sales tax exemption, As of July 1st, 2026, all sales over $1000.00 will be tax exempt!

Just FYI,,, Many Refiners have suspended the purchase of alloyed Silver Products, such as US. 90% Coinage and Sterling Silver, which in turn, leaves most local coin & Bullion dealers halting purchase of these items.. However, here at Black Lab Bullion we have the ability to render impure silver into .999 FINE Silver ingots, which the refiners are buying.
