Presto Piano Service got to see Portland, Washington D.C. and NYC this year to connect with many folks in the industry. Played some Bechstein, Fazioli, Hailun and some other brands/models these ears and fingers had not yet been aquatinted. I’ve met dynamic and interesting clients, while servicing a few hundred pianos. Some clients brought me to near tears through telling their personal story, while with others (many) I’ve shared some gut busting laughs.
We’ve experienced 200% growth over the course of the year, compared to year 1. Looking forward to sustaining that growth in 2024!
The knowledge gained has been significant. Becoming involved with the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG), attending local chapter meetings as well as the national PTG conference, connecting with local mentors and staying up to date with other technicians online has sustained the learning and continued education.
I care about the work I do, and especially connecting with incredible people. The fact that I have the opportunity to meet and talk with creative, like-minded folks on the daily will never be taken for granted.
I love pianos. I love music. I love self-expression. That’s what this is all about.
One client said it succinctly. While gesturing to her piano, “This is where I go when I feel sad. And this is where I go when I feel happy.” 🥹
