Mission Statement

Why do we march? Research studies have shown that Monsanto’s genetically-modified foods can lead to serious health conditions such as the development of canc

er tumors, infertility and birth defects. In the United States, the FDA, the agency tasked with ensuring food safety for the population, is steered by ex-Monsanto executives, and we feel that’s a questionable conflict of interests and explains the lack of government-lead research on the long-term effects of GMO products. Congress and president collectively passed the nicknamed “Monsanto Protection Act” that, among other things, bans courts from halting the sale of Monsanto’s genetically-modified seeds. For too long, Monsanto has been the benefactor of corporate subsidies and political favoritism. Organic and small farmers suffer losses while Monsanto continues to forge its monopoly over the world’s food supply, including exclusive patenting rights over seeds and genetic makeup. Monsanto’s GMO seeds are harmful to the environment; for example, scientists have indicated they have caused colony collapse among the world’s bee population. Vote with your dollar by buying organic and boycotting Monsanto owned companies that use GMOs in their products. Labeling of GMOs so that consumers can make those informed decisions easier. Repealing relevant provisions of the US’s “Monsanto Protection Act.” Calling for further scientific research on the health effects of GMOs. Holding Monsanto executives and Monsanto-supporting politicians accountable through direct communication, grassroots journalism, social media, etc. Continuing to inform the public about Monsanto’s secrets. Taking to the streets to show the world and Monsanto that we won’t take these injustices quietly. We will not stand for cronyism. We will not stand for poison. That’s why we March Against Monsanto.

Bayer is offering billions of dollars to resolve current and future Roundup cancer claims.

Let’s be very clear about what this means:

No corporation writes a $7.5–$10.5 BILLION check unless the evidence is overwhelming. Lawsuits uncovered internal documents showing Monsanto knew for decades that glyphosate was linked to cancer. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have paid the price with their health.

This proposed settlement is not generosity.
It is not vindication.
It is the result of relentless litigation forcing accountability.

And yet, Bayer still refuses to admit that Roundup causes cancer.

Even more concerning: Bayer’s own press release makes clear they will continue pursuing state and federal legislation to shield themselves from liability. That includes immunity provisions that would protect not just Roundup, but the other 57,000 pesticides regulated under FIFRA.

Immunity legislation targets every pesticide company- from farm chemicals like Paraquat to products used in schools and homes across America, giving them cover if health harms were concealed.

We cannot allow a legal settlement to become a legislative shield.

The Supreme Court case is still in play. The Farm Bill immunity language is still being pushed. State-level bills are still being lobbied.

Accountability must not end here.

We will continue to fight for transparency, safety, and the protection of families.

🚨BREAKING: Congressman Thomas Massie is introducing legislation to undo President Trump’s executive order declaring glyphosate production a “national security” priority. A true health hero!

Del Monte Foods Corp., one of the country’s largest producers, distributors and marketers of branded food products, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and is looking for a buyer.

The company should focus on healthy, nutritious non-GMO, organic foods -- a sector of the food industry that's still growing at a healthy clip. Del Monte's expensive genetically engineered Pinkglow Pineapple, with pink flesh, was just stupid. We hope it goes away.

Great News! Major Win for Food Sovereignty, Kenya Court Rules Against GMO Corn Imports: In a major win for small-scale food producers and peasant farmers in Kenya, “the Kenya Court of Appeal blocked the Kenyan government from importing genetically modified organisms (GMOs) into the country,” according to a press release by Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa—an alliance of organizations and movements across the continent advocating for agroecology and food sovereignty. “We celebrate this ruling as a major victory for small-scale farmers across Kenya,” said David Otieno, a small-scale farmer and member of the Kenyan Peasants League, a social movement consisting of consumers, farmers, pastoralists, and fishers rallying against the multinational corporate takeover of food systems in Kenya. Mr. Otieno continued: “GMOs are not the solution to food insecurity in our country. Instead, they deepen dependency on multinational agribusinesses, threaten biodiversity, and compromise farmers’ ability to control their food systems.”

Keep up the great work, Kenya!
