We are building some new access points on the property for future prescribed burn activities and addressing some areas with erosion issues. A little dirt work is the type of support that we need to call in every few years.

Conservation Blueprint has been flooded with people reaching out via text, email and phone calls to make sure we are all OK following the tornados yesterday.......we escaped damage and thank you so much for reaching out.

One of our valued employees was in the immediate path of the tornado and as the tornado was literally coming straight at her and across the road from her home, it turned and headed east saving both her and her home. Unfortunately, as it turned east it went into a new subdivision causing major destruction to new homes and the lives of the people that live there.

We're incredibly thankful that she was saved this destruction, but we pray for the people that were impacted in a way that's hard to imagine.

The US Drought Monitor shows that the Conservation Blueprint primary region for collecting local ecotype wildflower seeds is in the 'Extreme Drought' category. What impact will this have on the vegetation that we follow and collect seeds from throughout the growing season?

Follow us throughout the year to see what the impacts of the drought throughout the Great Plains is having on this region.

With the early arrival of Monarch Butterflies this year and another night with freezing temperatures approaching, we went out and gathered monarch butterfly eggs to bring into the security of the greenhouse.

Our quick search produced over 50 eggs that will be protected from freezing and enjoy a relaxed existence munching on milkweed in the greenhouse and then being released back to the world.
