🛡️ 12 tonnes of steel. Two years of storage. One big corrosion challenge.

A manufacturer of radioactive waste containers needed a way to protect its steel cylinders while meeting strict PMUC requirements for the nuclear industry—including the use of sulfur-free and halogen-free products.

The preservation approach combined VpCI®-415, BioPad®, and a special nuclear-industry version of Cortec® VpCI®-NuCorr® Film to protect the containers inside and out.

A six-month pilot ultimately led to adoption for 40 cylinders.

🌉 Protecting post-tensioning ducts doesn’t have to require complicated equipment.

On a major bridge project in Latvia, a contractor selected MCI®-309 to help protect post-tensioning (PT) systems from corrosion. The product could be fogged into the PT ducts using basic air compressors, without specialized application equipment. 💨

That practical application method made it simple to incorporate corrosion protection while the project faced winter grouting delays.
