The Saint Paul Port Authority is looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our finance team as Controller.
This is an opportunity to do more than manage the numbers. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will play a key role in the financial management of an organization that is helping shape Saint Paul’s future through economic development, redevelopment, finance programs, and the working river.
In this role, you’ll:
- Lead accounting, financial reporting, compliance and internal controls
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning
- Support TIF administration, debt management and public finance compliance
- Manage audits, grant accounting and regulatory reporting
- Lead and develop accounting staff
- Provide financial insight and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board
We’re looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5+ years of relevant experience in banking, public finance, government or nonprofit accounting. A CPA is preferred.
Salary: $115,000–$135,000, commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, retirement and PTO, along with downtown Saint Paul parking.
