Join us in congratulating Don Rolf on his retirement!

Don has spent the last seven years of his career at Pope, becoming Associate and Director of Healthcare, and leading our Quality Assurance group. He's been an invaluable mentor to his team, and a calming presence across the firm regardless of what chaos had ensued.

He'll be tremendously missed at Pope, but we're so grateful to have had him on our team and are glad that he can now spend his free time doing, well, whatever he wants!

And we made sure he wouldn't be able to forget us for the next couple years, courtesy of gifted calendars featuring his team in an Awkward Family Photo shoot.

Congratulations to our CEO, Ward Isaacson, on his recognition as a Finance & Commerce 2026 Leadership Award honoree!

Ward started at Pope Design Group in 2003 to grow and develop the firm’s housing studio, becoming President and CEO in 2016 following the retirement of firm founder Jon Pope.

Ward is passionate about the impact of good design, and the continued growth of the company. He is driven by fostering client and industry relationships and working collaboratively through the unique challenges and opportunities of each project.

A couple of weeks ago, Kelly Bauer (Associate & North Dakota Market Lead) and Allison Berry (Medical Planner) joined Patterson Dental on a Grand Forks, ND bus tour, visiting two dental clinic locations.

The experience provided a valuable opportunity to connect with practitioner teams and gain insight into Patterson Dental’s services and forward-thinking approach to care delivery. It was especially exciting to see how innovation in dentistry continues to evolve, and how intentional, high-quality space design plays a key role in supporting that future.

We have huge news!

Pope Design group is SO thrilled to announce that we've expanded into Northern Minnesota and welcomed Sara Rapp to the team!

Sara is now our Northern Minnesota Market Lead. She is based in Duluth, managing the firm’s operations there. Sara is a Certified Interior Designer with over 14 years’ experience working at her family’s firm, Scalzo Architects.

She brings tremendous experience to the table, with recent experience including Aspirus St. Luke’s, Community Memorial Hospital, Marshall School, the Boys & Girls Club of the Northland, and The Duluth Grill Family.

She is dedicated to supporting clients throughout the Arrowhead and Twin Ports Regions, and we could not possibly be more excited to have her on board.
