His largest snook!

I am behind on posting but had a real fun trip with Alex (Salt Strong president of the St. Pete chapter) and his friend Scott and Scott’s 2 grandsons. Alex wanted me to focus on Scott and his grandsons to make sure they had a good time. Alex graciously stepped back and fished lures most of the trip leaving the hot spots and the scaled sardines for the rest of the crew. They got into snook, trout, mangrove snapper,redfish and jack crevalle but the highlight of the trip was the 2 large snook Scott caught back to back!

I took out Christopher because he wanted to catch a big snook, since the last time we went out he had one on but they parted ways. So this was a redemption trip to get him a nice one. He caught beautiful fish last trip and a variety but we needed a good snook this trip. Well mission accomplished!!! He caught a beautiful snook along with some redfish, trout, mangrove snapper and jack crevalle.
It was a great day and he really enjoyed himself! The picture doesn’t do justice to how large this fish was.

Today’s tournament we caught snook, trout, redfish and mangrove snapper but lost a few large ones. Here is Guy with the largest snook that made it to the boat at 27”. They all had fun catching up with each other and enjoying a day out on the boat catching fish.
