PRINT ST. PETE Community Letterpress offers original letterpress goods, community classes & rentable The mission of PRINT ST.

The studio is equipped with two table top platen presses, a Challenge flatbed press, and drawers upon drawers of lead type, wood type and vintage cuts. PETE Community Letterpress is to provide affordable community access and to preserve the art and craft of letterpress printing while supporting our vibrant local arts scene. Bridget, Kaitlin & Lyman have a combined 30 years of experience as instructors. They moved into the shared studio space in 2013, and began their Paper & Pints series, which included live printing demos and visiting artists. A strong passion for education and preservation is what motivated them to open their space as a community studio in the Spring of 2016.

Saumitra Chandratreya is an artist & designer primarily working with cyanotype and risograph prints and textiles. He has exhibited work at the Leepa Rattner Museum, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Floridarama, Ringling Museum, and more, and is part of the 24 Hands Printmaking collective.

Stop by Saumitra’s booth during the Print Party to make your own cyanotype tote bag using photonegatives, leaves, flowers, and more! Cyanotype is the oldest form of photographic printmaking aka sun printing ☀️🕶️☘️🌹

All Print Party activities are free while supplies last. Thanks to the Art Everywhere grant from Creative Pinellas for helping us provide over a dozen unique print experiences FREE for the community.

5801 Print House is a vintage inspired souvenir brand that designs and prints everything in house. Alexa and Lauren were at our inaugural Print Party in 2024 live screen printing an incredible Boyd Hill Print Party souvenir t-shirt made just for the party. We’re suuuuuper stoked to have them returning again, and this year there are TWO custom designs to choose from- swipe to slides 2 & 3! Which one’s your favorite?! Comment🐊or🦉

Stop by their print truck to screen print your own souvenir shirt! They’ll have a limited quantity of blank shirts to give away, but we recommend bringing your own light colored cotton shirt to print on just in case!

We’re bringing some serious printmaking talent to the PRINT PARTY! 💥🎉

Holly Bird Holly Bird is a master printmaker, educator, and longtime creative at Dunedin Fine Art Center. After a successful career in graphic design, Holly found her passion for printmaking under the mentorship of Stephen Littlefield. Now, she’s passing that knowledge along, teaching students the art of relief and intaglio printing.

Joining her is Rebekah Lazaridis who studied printmaking under Holly and Stephen at DFAC and now teaches beginner classes of her own! Her intricate intaglio prints feature techniques like etching, aquatint, and mezzotint, drawing inspiration from nature, history, folklore, and historic architecture. 🌿✨

Come meet these talented printmakers and celebrate with us at Print Party at the Preserve! Holly and Rebekah will be offering a joint demonstration on-going throughout the day.

Introducing our newest Print Party VIP “Very Inky Printer”, Cheri Marks 🥳👇

Cheri Marks of Blue Section Press is a book artist, printmaker, educator, and special collections librarian and archivist at Ringling College. Find Cheri in the onsite Print Shop during the Print Party on November 14th. She’ll have some type locked up in the press and you can pull your own keepsake to take home! You’ll definitely want to ask her about her recent experience harvesting invasive papyrus for papermaking… so neat.

The print shop at Boyd Hill was built by local history buffs, Fritz and Fred Wilder, and the presses came from St. Pete’s historic Soreno Hotel and the Clearwater Sun newspaper. See local history come alive on Saturday, November 14th from 11am to 4pm during the Print Party at the Preserve!

Our next Print Party VIP “Very Inky Printmaker” spotlight is Mike Toth of Mike Toth ✨

If you know Mike you know he’s one of the nicest and most talented ink slingers in the bay. And if you don’t know him, you’ve probably still seen his work- he prints gig posters for some of the hottest shows in Tampa Bay. Mike has been participating in our community print fairs since the OG “St. Printersburg” event back in 2019, and we’re so grateful he’s back for this year’s Print Party at the Preserve. Ry Mccullough of Standard Action Press!

Ry Mccullough is an artist, printmaker, and educator, teaching in the Department of Art + Design at University of Tampa. At the Print Party, Ry will be demonstrating puzzle block relief printing!

Puzzle block printmaking (also called jigsaw printmaking) is a technique where an artist carves a single block of linoleum or wood, cuts it apart into separate interlocking pieces, inks each piece with a different color, and reassembles them like a puzzle to print a multi-colored image in a single pass.

See this magic in action, and much more on Saturday, November, 14th from 11:00am to 4:00pm!
