It’s Annual Renewal Time
Fair warning, if you don’t own a Florida based Corporation, Limited Liability Company or Limited Partnership; you will find this of very little use to you. So if you want to skip this one, we’ll catch you next time.
Now-
Corporations, Limited Liability Companies and Limited Partnerships must file their Florida state charters by May 1st to maintain their active status, or face a significant penalty. If you don’t renew your charter then the state will administratively dissolve your organization by the end of September.
The state has sent e-mail reminders to each organization, providing them with their state document number and the renewal web site.
Because it can be a little unnerving for those renewing for the first time, we have put together a little road map.
1. Go to www.sunbiz.org (see below)
2. Locate and click the big blue button, in the upper section of the site – middle of the page , it reads “File Current Year Annual Report or Amended Annual Report”
3. Enter the document number provided in the e-mail and submit.
4. The annual report will load for you to verify / edit the information presented.
5. This is your opportunity to edit your directors, members or partners information; as well as your legal representative.
6. Once completed you will be asked to verify the information provided; upon verification you will be taken to the payment screen.
7. Choose your payment method and submit.
8. Print out your confirmation.
If you have any questions, we are here to assist you. Our contact information is located within the about section of our page here on Facebook.
As always, if you found this to be helpful then please share with those whom you feel could benefit.
Until next time,
