Meet Pablo โ€œPanicโ€ Panichelli, coach for Team USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ at the OptiOrange International Regatta in Spain.

Pablo Panichelli is from Argentina and has been coaching Optis since 1987. He trained some well known coaches in Opti, including Pepe Bettini, Pilo Rocha, Lucas Calabrese, Ramon Oliden & Fran Bellocchio among others. This will be his second time coaching Team USA. In his long career as an Argentinian National Coach he helped sailors achieve positive results including multiple gold, silver, and bronze medals at all IODA Events, from South Americans to North Americans, Europeans and Worlds.

Pablo worked for 4 years as a Pre-Olympic and Pre Panamerican-Games National Coach in Argentina, but considers the Optimist Class the best boat to teach his sailors to perform. He worked for the Argentinian and Peruvian Optimist Association, with the National & Development Teams, and he loves to join his colleagues every time the US National Development Team Head Coach calls him for a practice. Panic joined LISOT Team in 2009 to work together with Pepe Bettini. He studied Vet and Social Psychology, loves to spend time sailing, biking, and hiking with his son Manuel (25), and enjoys films and jazz music. Panic is looking forward to coaching at this event and sharing all these years of experience with the team.
