In radio, we don't have a choice (nor do we want one). We go live every morning, every day, every weekend. It's our show...it's live and we give everything to our show. In the space there is no deadline, there is no live show, it is only accountability to ourselves and doing our show. With no "boss" it's easier to take a day off...

I share a story of how my commitment was questioned, and how I kept rolling to put out the best show I can. It builds community and the consistency I hope to achieve long term. Thanks as always for the listen!

I love thinking about how radio can move it's audience into the digital space. Disrupting the Digital Disruption I say. It happens when radio understands that the guys flipping formats across the street aren't the enemy. In fact, they are in the same battle everyone is in...getting audience.

But the important thing to remember...the audience doesn't see it as a battle. They simply want to CONSUME GOOD CONTENT HOWEVER THEY CHOOSE. It's fun to be in a radio battle competing against the guy across the street, but instead, think about how to grab your audience in a digital space before they find other options.

Are you creating amazing content in digital? Are you thinking differently about how you engage your audience? Do you see the 24/7 conversation happening on social media?

This isn't "end-days" for radio...it's just the opposite. It's an incredible opportunity. See it as that and make the most of this incredible space we are in today.
