This is a big one!

We’re very proud to announce that we have sold our two Smoothie Kings to our former Director of Food and Beverage, Ben Mathews.

The story of and HCo came to a very happy conclusion today, but for those that don’t know, this story began over 12 years ago.

It was in 2011 when Ben started working for Justin in his food truck, Coasters (seen in this picture) while he was in High School.

After a summer of flipping burgers and managing the Night Shift at the Pier Village, Ben went off to college.

Many years later, after graduating and getting married, he came back home to settle down. He approached Justin about working for him again. Justin hired him on the spot and over the next 6 years, Ben helped him and Henshaw Companies open 7 restaurants.

He now embarks on his own journey. One of an entrepreneur and the proud business owner of two successful Smoothie Kings.

We could not be more proud of him, his beautiful family and his awesome new life.

Yep, 2023 has been a Wild Ride! We’ll be wrapping this year up with some big announcements over the next few weeks.

We’ll kick it off with this one.

We’re proud to *officially announce that will be taking over our space at the Ironside/Salata location.

This was an awesome, fortuitous deal for both of us and we could not be more excited to welcome them to St. Simons Island.

Sometimes you have to take a step back, so that you can move forward. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it! 💪🏼
