If it's not written down, then it didn't happen.

Words to live by.

On a very mundane level, this applies not only for making shopping lists for yourself, but also to remind yourself to complete a task, to jot down an inspiring quote, and to ensure you can recall a phone number of a new friend.

Where written documentation becomes critical is when it memorializes a workplace investigation: discrimination, harassment, and bullying.

An accurately documented investigation report serves as a powerful tool, guiding organizational improvements and fostering a culture of trust and transparency.

I’m presenting an online session on how to write a sound investigative report that will put your organization on strong footing.

A common misunderstanding about Human Resources is that it's there to advocate only for employees. At the same time, another common misunderstanding is that HR is on the side of the employer.

Where I've observed employees fall short of basic employer expectations are traits and values that don't cost a penny in formal education, classroom training, or hard-earned certification.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors will be discussing possible changes to the Health Officer Order during the Tuesday, November 24 Board meeting [today].

The Los Angeles County business community cannot economically afford additional restrictions being placed on businesses. Take action now by using the one-click below to send a letter today to your LA County Supervisor letting them know you oppose the new Health Officer Orders to restrict outdoor dining at restaurants.

The business community has shown increased compliance with all Health Officer Orders and many have invested their livelihoods in keeping their customers and employees safe, their business afloat, and supporting their employees. More restrictions on businesses will result in additional job loss and decreased community morale. We must find a balance between economic recovery and protocols to keep the public safe.

Immediate Action

Share this one click with your network of businesses and have them share and complete ASAP the BOS meets at 9:30 AM. The public health order is set to be discussed at 11:30 am.

A lot of work goes into preparing for new residents of a bridge home. As a Chamber member, I had the privilege of touring this facility in San Pedro yesterday.
A lot of caring individuals were there helping to make up over 100 beds in the home. One of the few places of its kind to accept pets, this will allow residents to bring with them their closest fur family members. For some, it is the critical entry point between remaining on the streets or not.
This is just one of the big-hearted volunteers ensuring that restful and comfortable beds are ready for Monday’s opening.
