We are so excited to be doing a booth at the Relay for Life with the American Cancer Society at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival location today! 🎗️☢️⚕️

Radon is a radioactive, cancer-causing gas that you cannot see, smell or taste. Over time, living in a house with high levels of Radon can cause a multitude of lung issues: asthma, lung cancer, chest pain, bronchitis, etc. Radon is one of the leading environmental cause of cancer. It is the second leading cause of lung cancer, after smoking. Radon is responsible for 21,000 deaths per year in the United States. Radon makes up 1/3 of the annual radiation our bodies receive each year. Every home has radon, the only way to know how much radon is in a home, is to test.

I love helping educate our community about the dangers of radon gas, one family at a time. Your health is our priority!

⚠️How to Test for Radon

An easy and common method of testing for radon is with short-term tests, such as charcoal canisters, or with longer-term film or alpha track detectors. Both are do-it-yourself tests that are inexpensive and easy to do.

While these tests can give you a good idea of what level of Radon your home has, contacting a testing professional is the best way to go.

☑️If a radon mitigation system is in place—every two years
☑️After home remodels, particularly projects that open up the basement for living
