Last week we joined industry partners at PARC to evaluate turf, forage, and crop research taking place in the field.

PARC is a research-focused facility where side-by-side trials, product performance, and real-world field observations come together.

Seeing that work firsthand helps us better understand what’s working, what’s improving, and how we can continue bringing stronger seed solutions to our customers.

The world’s biggest matches demand more than a great field. They demand turf that establishes quickly, recovers from wear, and performs under pressure.

We’re proud to see 365ss® and ICONIC® represented at 25% of the host venues, including Seattle, Los Angeles, Boston, and Philadelphia, through sod partners Desert Green Turf and Tuckahoe Turf Farms, Inc.

Built on turfgrass breeding in partnership with Rutgers University, 365ss® delivers rapid establishment, wear tolerance, and recovery, while ICONIC® adds lateral spread and density to help surfaces withstand heavy traffic.

From the breeders and growers to the sod farms and field crews, it takes a lot of people behind the scenes to help prepare surfaces for moments this big.

A great evening of conversation, connections, and catching up with industry friends.

Thanks to everyone who joined us at the Mountain View Seeds Rooftop Reception. We’re looking forward to PARC’s Inaugural Field Day tomorrow and seeing the latest research from Dr. Gregg Munshaw and Daniel Earlywine, M.S.

Forage Focus Friday: Jackpot Forage Turnip 🫜

This week, we’re highlighting Jackpot Forage Turnip, a versatile option for grazing, food plots, and cover crop systems.

One of Jackpot’s biggest strengths is nitrogen scavenging. As a fast-establishing brassica, Jackpot can help scavenge nitrogen while adding value in cover crop mixes and forage rotations.

Jackpot also works well in forage blends. It can be planted with cereal grains or annual ryegrass in the spring or late summer to help add tonnage and high-quality forage to the mix. In grazing systems, Jackpot can regrow alongside summer annual grasses and support multiple grazing opportunities when managed properly.

We currently have Jackpot Forage Turnip available. Reach out to your distributor or a Mountain View Seeds rep for availability and planting recommendations.
