🚨 BIG NEWS FOR MEDICARE BENEFICIARIES 🚨

Starting July 1, 2026, Medicare is launching a new program that could make popular weight-loss medications like Wegovy and Zepbound available for as little as $50 per month for eligible beneficiaries. 💊

For years, many Medicare recipients were unable to access these medications because Medicare generally only covered them for conditions like diabetes or heart disease—not obesity alone. That is beginning to change.

To qualify, individuals must:
✅ Be enrolled in Medicare Part D
✅ Meet certain BMI requirements
✅ Have physician approval through a prior authorization process

The program is expected to run through December 2027 and could help millions of Americans access treatments that were previously costing $1,000+ per month out of pocket.

While these medications aren’t right for everyone, this is a significant shift in how Medicare approaches obesity and weight-related health conditions. As always, talk with your doctor to determine what options may be appropriate for your situation.
