Had two interesting jobs recently. First was a call from an outfit in Louisville that wanted me to convert 4 reels of opera music from the mid 60's to digital. Two of the reels were double sided so it wound up being 6 total reels converted. The second was two video tapes that had been placed on a vhs tape, plus 485 slides. Kept me occupied for a while.

Just had 22 cassette tapes and 4 CD's dropped off to be digitized. Guess I am going to be listening to a lot of music over the next few days.

Just finishing up a large digital conversion project. Had 9 VHS tapes and 7 VHS-C tapes to convert to DVDs.

Just finished putting together a challenging wedding video. Received a video from a dvd, from a cell phone, and Facebook. Got actual pictures, and pictures from a cell phone. Had to rearrange the pictures (getting rid of duplicates) and organizing the videos. Then had to intermingle everything into a meaningful video. When all that was done, I went back and added music to the whole thing.

Had an interesting experience recently. I got a box from Florida that had 14 reel-to-reel tapes in it. These tapes were recorded live in a radio station back in the early 70's. Due to the age of the tapes, I had trouble playing them, so I wound up slowing the player to half speed and then recording. Once in the computer, I ran them through another program that played them back at twice the recorded speed. Lucky for me, that worked producing the information that you could listed to.

Was provided some 431 slides to convert the other day. Slides converted and on a thumb drive. Waiting to see how they want the slide show done. On top of that, I received a box from out of state that has 13 reels of reel-to-reel tape to convert to digital. My reel-to-reel playeer is over 15 years old, and I hadn't used it in roughly 2 years. When I started to use it, it started acting up. It is now in the shop being repaired and will be between one and two weeks before I can even start the conversion. Such is life.
