Kings Auction & Appraisal of Salina is Hiring the Following Positions:

Ring Leader / Bid Spotter
Job Description
Prior to the Auction: Prior to the Auction the Ring Leader / Bid Spotter should be helping “Warm Up the Audience” by answering any questions and making sure everyone is comfortable with the Auction Process.
During the Auction: The Ring Leader / Bid Spotter becomes an extra set of eyes and ears for the auctioneer during the live auction process. Their communication link with the Auctioneer is solid and trusted. Ring Leader / Bid Spotter should bring energy to the room that promotes excitement and fun; this increases the number of bids and ensures everyone is having a great time at auction. This Person will be trained to spot bids in a split second and react immediately.
Post Auction: After the Auction Ring Leader / Bid Spotter will help customers carry any large items to help clear the Auction House /or Location of items that were purchased.

Qualifications
1. Must be available to work auctions evenings and/or weekends. Auction Schedules are typically known weeks in advance. Applicant Must have a Flexible Schedule.
2. Merchandise Knowledge of Antiques & Collectibles is a Plus but Not Required. Willing to Train the Right Person.
3. Ability to lift 65 pounds un-assisted.
4. Ability to spot people bidding on items and vocalize to the Auctioneer a Bid is Being Placed.
5. Must have the ability to be on your feet for up to six hours straight in Various Weather Conditions.
6. Be able to multitask and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
7. The Right Candidate will be outgoing and comfortable being outwardly vocal.
8. Must be able to help load customer’s vehicles and maintain courteous customer service at all times.
9. Hiring Subject to Pre-Employment Drug Screening & Background Check

Auction Moving & Setup Staff
Job Description
Prior to the Auction: Moving & Setup Staff are only required prior to the Auction. Moving / Setup Staff will be sorting and moving merchandise from consignor’s locations in various living / environmental conditions. A supervisor will accompany staff helping to identify more expensive or trending items to be sold individually at auction. Various Household Items, Collections and items that can easily be categorized will be boxed together or placed in a flat so the Auctioneer can sell these items to likeminded bidders. Once the Items have been moved to the Auction Location Setup and Support Staff Will Categorize, Clean and Display Items in a professional fashion for Auction Preview and the Day of the Auction.

Qualifications
1. Must be available to work Mornings, Evenings and/or weekends. Moving Staff may receive as little as 2 hours’ notice before a move. This would be considered an On-Call Position with an average of 2 – 6 Hours Per week.
2. Merchandise Knowledge of Antiques & Collectibles is a Plus but Not Required. Willing to Train the Right Person.
3. Ability to lift 65 pounds un-assisted.
4. The Right Applicant will be Organized and Have Strong Attention to Detail.
5. Must have the ability to be on your feet for up to eight hours straight in Various Weather Conditions.
6. Must Be able to multitask and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
7. Clean Driving Record as you may be Required to Operate Company Vehicles when Moving Items from Different Locations.
8. Hiring Subject to Pre-Employment Drug Screening & Background Check
