Joie Polite is a multidisciplinary designer specializing in packaging design, brand identity, and creative development within the consumer goods industry.

With experience spanning craft beverages, premium spirits, and skincare, Joie has built her career bringing brands to life through thoughtful design and innovative packaging. Her work has included collaborations and partnerships with nationally recognized brands such as Liquid Death, Formula 1, Traeger Grills, and Barstool Sports.

Previously the Lead Designer at WhistlePig Wh***ey, Joie now serves as Senior Designer & Packaging Development Manager at Frownies, where she helps shape the future of the heritage skincare brand through packaging innovation and creative development.

Returning to her alma mater, Joie will share an honest perspective on navigating a creative career, what really goes into design decisions, and how designers can create meaningful value in an ever-changing industry.

Studio Torrelli is a multi-disciplinary freelance creative based in Berlin, MD. He specializes in developing timeless logos, brand identity, packaging, and accompanying collateral such as but not limited to fliers, posters, and merchandise. His work focuses on creating durable, rugged, and often nostalgic visual communication through a combination of digital and analog practices; providing clients with work that is driven by bold typography, illustration, and gritty textures. Influenced by Ephemera, Hardcore Punk Music, American Traditional Tattoo History, and Zine Culture, his use of digital tools blended DIY hands-on practices shows that a human was behind the creative process by developing identities and assets that are proven to leave a withstanding mark within the industry.

Jen Pepper has been drawing and making things for as long as she can remember. Voted “Most Artistic” in high school and still happily described as “artsy,” she turned that lifelong love of making into a career in graphic design. After nearly a decade working in NYC branding and design firms, Jen launched Chatty Press - Wedding Invitations on Etsy in 2011 with five address stamp designs and no idea if anyone would even notice. They did! And she became one of the top 10% of Etsy sellers. Today, she creates non-traditional wedding stationery for creative couples who aren’t afraid to show off their personality. Jen is also an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Salisbury University, where she gets to share her love of design, typography, print, and making with her students.

Andy Smith is a brand designer and illustrator based in Baltimore. Since earning his BFA in Graphic Design in 2014, he has balanced his career among in-house roles, design agencies, and his own freelance creative business. His work focuses on creating thoughtful, typography-driven, playful visual identities for a variety of clients, including local non-profits, food and beverage brands, and the disc golf industry. In addition to his brand work, he has spent the last few years collaborating with Adobe and its partners to develop content libraries for Adobe Express and Fresco. No matter the work, Andy strives to highlight fresh perspectives and positivity.

Wicomico Habitat is excited to share a recent project involving Salisbury University graphic design students. During their 2024 spring semester at SU, eight graphic design students created eight excellent designs for a new HFHWC t-shirt.

As part of this collaboration, Wicomico Habitat will reward the three students with the most votes on their design, based on YOUR vote! The design with the most votes overall will be printed on t-shirts.
