Season’s Greetings Family, Friends, and Clients,

There has been a lot of buzz and chatter on social media about the filing of Beneficial Ownership Information for LLCs and Corporations. Well, being the researcher that I am, I decided to take a look at what all the buzz was about.

The message shared on social media is that all LLCs must file the Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI E-Filing) by December 31, 2024, or the owners will face very stiff fines and penalties. It was also mentioned that there is no charge for the filing.

However, the how-to file and what agency to file with were not provided. If you are a required entity (Your Company), you will be filing with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). FYI, the FinCEN is a Federal Agency.

I strongly encourage all business owners to visit the following websites to learn more about this new filing requirement and determine whether their entity (business) is required to file.

Congratulations to DXT Therapeutic Foundation, Inc. who received a Ujima Grant authored by Avalon for $275,000 for Domestic Violence Prevention and Treatment. Avalon wins another grant! This organization had been unsuccessful in obtaining grant funding since its inception until DXT hired Avalon. Congrats again DXT!
