Fractional CO₂ Laser Resurfacing — Before and 1 Month Post Treatment
The results show improvement in skin texture, dyspigmentation, and fine rhytids one month following a single fractional CO₂ laser treatment. Beyond cosmetic rejuvenation, fractional CO₂ laser resurfacing has well-documented therapeutic benefits, including treatment of actinic keratoses (precancerous lesions) and reduction of field cancerization in chronically sun-damaged skin.*
By creating controlled microthermal zones of injury, fractional CO₂ stimulates long-term collagen remodeling while also replacing photodamaged epidermis with healthier tissue. This process has been shown to reduce the risk of subsequent non-melanoma skin cancers, particularly squamous cell carcinoma, in appropriately selected patients with significant cumulative sun exposure.*
Collagen remodeling and dermal reorganization continue for 3–6 months following treatment, with progressive improvement in skin quality over time.
