What I'm working on today: sorting through prop bins and figuring out what's getting packed for the next couple of months of events.

Funny glasses and hats in one pile… the stuff that's falling apart in the other.

All this was fueled by a good chai latte made by moi.

My fall mantra this year: I'm allowed to have seasons.

I didn't expect this season to look like this.

I know my kids are still little, but they need me in ways I didn't plan for, not less of me, just different. More patience in the mornings. More presence in the afternoons. Less of me sitting down to work when I thought I'd have an hour.

So I'm showing up differently than I expected to. Not worse. Different.

I'm allowed to have seasons. This is just the one I'm in right now.

The crazy thing people don't know about buying this camper: we renovated the whole thing while carrying a ten-month-old around at the same time.

Renovating anything with a baby strapped to one hip is its own kind of chaos. Tools in one hand, a diaper bag in the other, and somehow also installing an AC.

Looking back, buying a project camper with an infant in the house was not the responsible choice. We did it anyway. And we’ve had a ton of fun!

Most couples don't have a problem with capturing memories; they have a format problem.

Your guests might take hundreds of photos on their phones. You might end up with a camera roll full of moments from the day.

But months later, those photos can easily get buried.

So instead of asking, "How do we get more photos?"

Ask, "What will we actually have to look back on?"

A physical keepsake changes what remembering your day can look like. It's something guests can hold onto, display, and revisit, not just something they can scroll past and forget.

Build in something your guests walk away holding, not just something they'll see once on their phone and scroll past later.

That's where Photo Camper comes in.

Lately, I've been carving out "Do Nothing Days" in our schedule.

I'm 1000% a planner by nature. If it's not on the calendar, it won't happen.

But the problem with that is sometimes I feel our calendar up too much.

So lately, I've been designating days on the calendar (still have to plan it lol) as "do nothing days."

We have no set plans. We just see where the day takes us.

Maybe a morning move.
Maybe to the pool.
Maybe thrifting.
Maybe to the park or out to eat.

And honestly? I think we all need more days like this.

Days where there's nothing we have to do. No guilt about being "unproductive." No pressure to make the most of every minute. Just space to be.

Because you don't have to earn rest by exhausting yourself first.

Today, good enough is good enough.

One experience changed how I think about celebration forever.

Last year, our cousin decided to throw an anniversary party for herself. She’d been a hairdresser for 25 years. During her speech, she talked about the fact that she wanted to celebrate herself, and why shouldn't she?

I haven't stopped thinking about this, and how true it is. So often we wait for other people to acknowledge us, but why not celebrate ourselves?

We deserve it.

Ready to celebrate yourself? Photo Camper can help. Book today.

This fall, we're so excited to partner with The HN’H Sanctuary for some of their events.

The owners at The HNH Sanctuary are good friends of ours and run a nonprofit that takes in and cares for at-risk horses and livestock that have been sent to slaughter, neglected, abused, or disabled.

The HNH Sanctuary is raising money for a new barn for their rescue horses, and we've been invited to capture the fun with Photo Camper.

We love bringing Photo Camper to weddings and other celebrations, but we are always so grateful to be part of events for organizations like this, doing meaningful work in the world.

Learn more about The HNH Sanctuary on their website. https://thehnhsanctuary.org/

What are you looking forward to this fall?

If someone handed me one completely free week...

No meetings.
No inbox.
No deadlines.

I'd spend it taking our "house camper" (what Madi calls it) back to Yellowstone. We went this summer, and it was amazing. The unplugged time in one of my favorite places was just what we all needed.

What about you? How would you spend a completely free week?

Wondering if Photo Camper is the right fit for your big day?

You'll want to consider including Photo Camper in your wedding plans if:

👉 You already have a headcount and a venue locked in
👉 You keep coming back to photo booth pics from friends' weddings, saying "I want that"
👉 You're planning something with a strong theme or color palette they want carried through
👉 You've got a guest list heavy on people who won't all be in the same place again (family reunions, out-of-town guests)

You don't need to have every detail figured out.
But if you're ready to add an experience your guests will actually remember, and leave you with photos to prove it, Photo Camper might be the perfect addition to your wedding.

Book today on our website.
