📣 CALL FOR PRESENTERS 🎤
2027 UTAH ENA ANNUAL CONFERENCE!

📍 Lehi, Utah
📅 March 11–12, 2027

Do you have knowledge to share, a passion to teach, or an experience that could make a difference in another nurse’s practice? We want to hear from YOU!

Utah ENA is looking for engaging presenters to help make our 2027 Annual Conference an opportunity to learn, connect, grow, and inspire. Whether you’re an experienced speaker or considering presenting for the very first time, there is a place for your voice! 💙

We welcome topics across the spectrum of nursing, including:

🚑 Emergency Nursing & Critical Care
🔎 Forensic Nursing & Advocacy
🏥 Bedside Practice & Clinical Pearls
👩‍⚕️ Leadership, Mentorship & Professional Development
🧠 Mental & Behavioral Health
💚 Nurse Wellness, Resilience & Self-Improvement
📚 Evidence-Based Practice, Research & Innovation
🌱 Emerging Professionals & Career Growth

✨ A special invitation to NEW PRESENTERS!

You don’t need years of speaking experience or a polished presenter portfolio to have something valuable to offer. Sometimes the most impactful lessons come from everyday experiences, challenges overcome, innovative ideas, and the knowledge we gain caring for patients and supporting one another.

We’re especially excited to encourage first-time presenters and emerging professionals to step forward, share their expertise, and discover what they can bring to our profession. And if you’re an experienced presenter, we’d love to hear from you, too!

Let’s create a conference that reflects the diversity, expertise, compassion, and innovation of our nursing community.

🚨 EMERGENCY NURSES WEEK: DAY 6 🚨

❤️ PROUD TO BE AN EMERGENCY NURSE.

We’ve celebrated the people behind the badges.
We’ve recognized the teammates who make us better, shared the wisdom that moves our profession forward, connected across departments and states, and reminded one another that our well-being matters.

Now, let’s finish this week by celebrating WHY we do what we do.

Emergency nursing isn’t always easy. Some shifts test us. Some stories stay with us. Some days, the wins are enormous. Other days, simply showing up for one another is enough.
But somewhere in the chaos, there are moments that remind us of the privilege of being there when it matters most.

👇 TODAY’S CHALLENGE:
Finish this sentence in the comments:
“I am proud to be an emergency nurse because…”
Maybe it’s the teamwork. The advocacy. The ability to think on your feet. The opportunity to care for people during their most vulnerable moments. Or the incredible people who stand beside you.

Whatever your WHY is, we want to hear it.

🎁 IT’S OUR GRAND GIVEAWAY! We’re closing out Emergency Nurses Week with one more opportunity to celebrate YOU!
3 lucky winners will be chosen tomorrow morning!

🩺 Tag an emergency nurse who inspires you.

Thank you to every emergency nurse who shows up, speaks up, lifts others up, and continues to make a difference, even when no one is watching.
Your work matters. Your voice matters. Your community matters.

❤️ EMERGENCY NURSES WEEK: DAY 5 ❤️

🫶 A REMINDER FOR THE PEOPLE WHO CARE FOR EVERYONE ELSE.

You can be a strong nurse and still have hard days.
You can love your job and still need a break.
You can be the person everyone counts on and still need someone to check on YOU.

Emergency nursing asks a lot of us. We give our time, our energy, our compassion, and sometimes pieces of ourselves that others never see.

So today, let’s talk about something that matters: taking care of the person behind the badge.
Not another productivity goal. Not another thing to add to your to-do list. Just a reminder that your well-being matters, too.

👇 TODAY’S CHALLENGE:
What’s ONE thing that helps you recharge after a hard shift?
Is it a long shower, time outdoors, music, your family, a favorite meal, a good laugh with your coworkers, or simply doing absolutely nothing?

🎁 DAILY GIVEAWAY: Because the people who care for others deserve a little care themselves!

HOW TO ENTER:

💬 Tell us your favorite way to recharge.
🩺 Tag an emergency nurse who deserves a reminder to take care of themselves, too.

Let’s normalize boundaries, rest, asking for support, and remembering that we are human before we are healthcare professionals.

You matter outside the ED, too. Never forget that.

🌎 EMERGENCY NURSES WEEK: DAY 4 🌎

🤝 WE MAY WORK IN DIFFERENT EDs, BUT WE UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER.

Different hospitals. Different communities. Rural EDs and trauma centers. Day shift and night shift. New grads and seasoned nurses.

We may have different stories, but we share something special: we know what it means to show up when someone needs us most. We understand the teamwork, the unpredictable shifts, the heartbreak, the humor, and the moments that remind us why we chose this profession.

👇 TODAY’S CHALLENGE:
Sound off in the comments!

📍 What are you joining us from?
🩺 How long have you been an emergency nurse?
❤️ What’s ONE word that describes your ED team?

💬 Answer today’s three questions.
🙌 Tag an emergency nurse from another department, hospital, or state!

Let’s make this comment section a reminder that emergency nursing is bigger than one shift, one hospital, or one state.
We’re stronger when we connect, share, and support one another.

🩺 EMERGENCY NURSES WEEK: DAY 3 🩺

✨ PASS THE WISDOM. LIFT THE NEXT GENERATION.

Remember your first days in the ED? The nerves. The questions. The moments you wondered if you were cut out for this. And hopefully, the people who helped you find your footing.
Whether you’ve been an emergency nurse for six months or 30 years, you have wisdom worth sharing.
Sometimes the best lessons don’t come from a textbook. They come from the nurse who takes time to teach, the mentor who believes in you, or the coworker who reminds you that you don’t have to know everything to become a great nurse.

👇 TODAY’S CHALLENGE:
Finish this sentence:
“If I could tell my new-nurse self ONE thing, it would be…”
Share your wisdom in the comments and tag a nurse who helped you along the way!

🎁 DAILY GIVEAWAY: Another day, another chance to win!

💬 Share your advice in the comments.
🩺 Tag a nurse who has made a difference in your journey.

Let’s build a community where experienced nurses lift up emerging professionals, new nurses feel supported, and no one has to figure it all out alone.
Your experience could be exactly what another nurse needs to hear today.

❤️ EMERGENCY NURSES WEEK: DAY 2 ❤️

🏆 EVERY ED HAS AN MVP. WHO’S YOURS?

It’s the nurse who jumps in without being asked. The tech who notices when you’re drowning. The coworker who makes you laugh after a heartbreaking case. The teammate who checks on you when everyone else has moved on.
Emergency nursing is hard enough. The people standing beside us make all the difference.
Today, we’re giving YOU the chance to celebrate someone who makes your shifts better.

👇 TODAY’S CHALLENGE:
Tag your ED MVP and tell us why they deserve a little extra recognition. It could be a nurse, tech, medic, provider, or another member of your team!

🎁 DAILY GIVEAWAY: We’re celebrating the people who make emergency nursing special with another chance to win!

HOW TO ENTER:

💬 Tag your MVP and share why you appreciate them.
🙌 Help us fill the comments with the recognition our emergency nursing community deserves!

Don’t wait for Nurses Week, an award ceremony, or a retirement party to tell someone they make a difference. Sometimes a few words of appreciation can change someone’s entire day.
Tag them. Celebrate them. Let them know.

🚨 EMERGENCY NURSES WEEK: DAY 1 🚨

❤️ THE NURSE BEHIND THE BADGE ❤️
We know the scrubs. We know the stethoscope. We know the controlled chaos of an emergency department. But there’s so much more to each of us than the badge we wear.
Behind every emergency nurse is a person with a story, a passion, a dream, and a life outside the ED. Maybe you’re an adventure seeker, a parent, a traveler, a sports fanatic, or someone who loves a quiet night at home after a wild shift. Whatever makes you, YOU, we want to know!

👇 TODAY’S CHALLENGE:
Tell us one fun fact about yourself that your ED coworkers might not know! Bonus: Tell us where you’re joining us from.

🎁 DAILY GIVEAWAY! We’re kicking off Emergency Nurses Week with a little something to celebrate YOU!

💬 Answer today’s question in the comments.
🩺 Tag an emergency nurse you’d love to get to know better!
Let’s get to know the people behind the badges and build connections beyond our own departments.
Your story matters. Your voice matters. YOU matter.

🔴LIVE September 9 | Breaking the Silence: Su***de Among Healthcare Professionals (1 CE) https://ow.ly/SSiB50ZA1Wx

Healthcare professionals dedicate their lives to caring for others, yet too often struggle in silence with their own mental health. Let's talk about the critical issues of nurse su***de, how to break stigmas surrounding mental health, and our shared responsibility to recognize when colleagues may be in crisis.

Through a personal account of losing a friend and emergency department colleague to su***de, Jason Carter will highlight the impact of that loss while providing practical strategies to foster awareness, encourage meaningful conversations, and build a culture where seeking help is viewed as a sign of strength rather than weakness.

🔍 Examine current evidence and data related to su***de among healthcare professionals, including contributing risk factors and trends within the nursing profession.
🫂 Describe individual and organizational strategies to support colleagues, foster postvention efforts, and begin the healing process following a su***de loss.
❤️‍🩹 Identify mental health, crisis intervention, and peer support resources available to healthcare professionals and determine ways to facilitate access to those resources.
