Every birth tells a unique story, and sometimes even the placenta reflects that beauty. ❤️

This placenta was formed in the shape of a heart — a powerful reminder of the love, connection, and life-sustaining role it played throughout pregnancy. From nourishing baby to supporting mother, it truly is an incredible organ.

Honored to work alongside this skilled placenta encapsulation professional who treats this process with such care and respect. Birth never ceases to amaze me.

Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️

January was International Family Month! These babies come from beautifully diverse ethnic backgrounds, with families from Scotland, Moldova, and Mexico. It was an honor to walk alongside these three strong women and their husbands as they worked so hard to meet their babies. I love celebrating the cultures, traditions, and stories that make every family unique. Can you guess which baby belongs to which family? Share your guess in the comments below! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇲🇩🇲🇽

I’m incredibly grateful to every family who trusted me to support them through pregnancy and birth this year. My life is richer because of you, and it’s such an honor to do this work. I truly love being a doula and can’t wait to support more families in 2026. Bring on all the babies! 👶🏽💃

Baby #100 💕 Meet sweet Hattie! From early on, this family knew their baby girl would be born with one hand—a reality that brought a lot of grief for what might have been and how it could shape her life. During labor, Hattie began having heart rate decelerations, and her mama needed an unexpected cesarean. She went into the OR brave and smiling, and came out absolutely overjoyed to finally meet her baby. Hattie is feisty and expressive—if she gets upset, she’ll let you know with a good whack from her little nubbin. She is perfect, exactly as she is. 🥰

This past August, I reached 100 births attended! Each one carries its own unique story. This journey has been one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. The connections and relationships I get to build along the way are treasures to me—thank you to all of the families that invited me into your birth space. It’s a true honor to stand beside families as they welcome their babies into their arms. I still shed happy tears on my way to and from every birth—it never gets old. I’m grateful for the miracle of life and this beautiful calling on my life. 💛

There’s something very special about walking alongside repeat clients. Carolyn had another VBAC and welcomed her fourth baby boy! She’s a boy mom through and through. This birth was smoother than her first VBAC, and she experienced the peaceful, golden hour she had hoped for. When clients become family and you get to keep showing up for their growing stories, it’s such an honor. I’m so proud of this strong mama. What a joy to meet you, Frankie! 🩵

I’m just now catching up on all the baby announcements. Many of these mamas had fast labors, but I’m so glad the babies took their turn! Some labors were natural, some medicated, and all of them worked incredibly hard and welcomed their little ones with determination and strength. 💕

Sofie called me the day before her scheduled induction for being past her due date, and said “I need a doula! I don’t want to be induced and I feel pressured.” So I said “sounds like you don’t feel comfortable getting induced tomorrow, how about you skip it?” So she did exactly that. She called the front office and told them to take her off the schedule.

Shortly after, she went into labor naturally and welcomed her baby within just a few hours. It was a gender surprise, and the family joyfully welcomed their third baby girl, Ivy! 💕 The room was filled with joy and happy tears. I felt so honored to support this precious family on such a special day.

Sofie has no regrets about her decision and got the birth of her dreams. She felt empowered by making an informed choice about her care and trusting what she felt her body and baby needed. While inductions are sometimes medically necessary and cannot always be postponed, there are times when they’re not needed.

I’m proud of Sophie for being courageous, advocating for herself, and trusting her instincts. Women are truly incredible. 💪🏽🩷

Danielle’s first pregnancy was through IVF, and she was overjoyed to find herself naturally pregnant with her second. She needed a cesarean, which meant I got the opportunity to support her during postpartum instead. And oh was it sweet! Spending time with her and her two little ones filled my heart with joy. She cares for 2 kids 1 and under and does it with beauty and grace. I’m so grateful to know this wonderful family! 💓

This mama faced the hardest challenge of her life—and it brought the most beautiful reward. She fought tirelessly, trusting her body and advocating for the vaginal birth she knew was possible. By her side through it all, her husband gave unwavering support, never leaving her side. Sometimes when you hold strong to your goal, you truly can have the birth you desired. After a long labor, this proud new dad surprised his wife with roses and told her, “Thank you for giving me the best gift of my life.” Their baby girl is beautiful and has the cutest arm and leg rolls. 😍 I’m honored to have stood by their side, offering advocacy and support through every step of their journey. ❤️🥀
