We loved facilitating "Strengths-Based Governance" for the Texas REALTOR® Leadership Development Program (TRLDP) with the San Antonio Board of REALTORS®®this August!
We truly appreciate being invited back after kicking off the program in March. To elevate their experience, we upgraded all participants from their Top 5 to their All 34 Strengths profiles. We then delivered a customized, advanced workshop tailored specifically to fiduciary duty, preparing these emerging leaders to serve on boards and associations across the state.
Our Founder and Principal Consultant, Marisa Ortiz, alongside co-facilitator Joe Olivarez, had an absolute blast working with this dynamic mix of REALTORS® and brokers! Thanks Y'all!

If you want to see what visionary leadership looks like during an acute crisis, look no further than Nora Vargas and Chong-Min Fu-Sosnaud at City of San Antonio Metropolitan Health District Healthy Neighborhoods program.
It is no secret that public service and nonprofit sectors are facing severe headwinds right now. Across our city, deep funding cuts are forcing painful transitions and job losses. In moments like this, it is easy for organizations to freeze, retreat into survival mode, and treat talent development as a discarded luxury.
But Nora had a different, profoundly strategic vision.
As a returning client, the Healthy Neighborhoods leadership team knows that generic "strengths classes" don't solve real-world crises. Because their team operates on Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), they needed a deeply customized approach. At Intercultural Talent, we tailored our signature Strengths-Based Resilience workshop to directly meet this moment of transition—equipping their community health workers (CHWs) and resident leaders to map, protect, and leverage their collective talents through a tough organizational storm.
Investing in your people when resources are at their lowest isn't an afterthought; it is the single most effective strategy for managing transition with dignity and strength.
We are incredibly proud to regularly serve the City of San Antonio - Municipal Government during its most critical chapters. It was also a milestone day for our own growth, as this this vital session was co-facilitated by our Founder Marisa Ortiz and our newest Strengths Consultant Joe Olivarez.
Thank you, Nora and Chong-Min, for proving that even when funding is cut, true leadership never compromises on its human infrastructure.

Our founder, Marisa Ortiz, recently took the stage 🌟at The Global Chamber meeting to present "Global Sovereignty: A Roadmap for the Conscious Entrepreneur."

Sharing her personal journey as a mother, entrepreneur, and proud native of Torreón, Mexico, Marisa spoke directly to the power of leading from our authentic identities rather than complying with old corporate scripts. She presented the 4 main tools we use at Intercultural Talent, alongside other phenomenal books and frameworks recommended for deeper growth:

🌱 Reclaiming Identity & Purpose
Break free from traditional expectations and align your growth with your true self.
Core Tool: Gallup's CliftonStrengths
The Values Compass by Mandeep Rai, PhD.
A Radical Awakening by Dr. Shefali Tsabary

💼 Valuing Our Labor & Rewriting the Rules
Acknowledge the invisible work that sustains our communities and move past the patriarchal "myth of the billionaire."
Emotional Labor by Rose Hackman.
Pay Up by Reshma Saujani

🤝 Navigating Global Spaces with Sovereignty
Build thriving, culturally intelligent ecosystems rooted in deep empathy and firm boundaries. Core tools:
Toltec Wisdom / The Four Agreements by don Miguel Ruiz
Kiss, Bow, or Shake Hands by Terri Morrison
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg

The energy in the room was electric! There was great engagement from the audience of women entrepreneurs. A heartfelt thank you to the Global Chamber and every leader who stood up to support, validate, and lift each other up during this session. When we bring our whole selves to the table, we change the game entirely. Let’s keep rewriting the rules of global business together. ✨

We are absolutely over the moon to officially announce THRU Project as our 2026 Make a Difference Grant recipient! 🌟🏆

Our Founder, Marisa Ortiz, was thrilled to connect with THRU Project CEO Leonard Rodriguez and Mytech Partners, Inc. Partner and Business Development VP Nate Austin during last week’s beautiful awards ceremony at the Centre Club

Reading through the grant applications was an inspiring process, but THRU Project’s application truly stood out. They presented a powerful, forward-thinking vision for their future succession planning. They explicitly identified a desire to break down departmental silos, build trust, and create a highly collaborative culture where every team member is aligned in purpose. Intercultural Talent is honored to answer that call by delivering a customized, Full-Day CliftonStrengths Team-Building Workshop to help their professionals achieve exactly that.

For youth aging out of foster care, THRU Project is a vital bridge to adulthood—providing housing, mentorship, life skills, and essential resources to youth ages 14 to 25. While this workshop is designed to transform their internal workplace and team dynamics, our ultimate hope is for a powerful ripple effect. By helping these nonprofit leaders adopt a strengths-based mindset, they can infuse the philosophy of "focusing on what works" directly into the youth they serve—equipping these resilient young adults to enter the workforce knowing exactly what unique talents they bring to the world. 🌍💼

Congratulations, Leonard and the entire THRU Project team! We cannot wait to lock arms and unlock your collective strengths. 🚀

So grateful to be back with my Public Allies San Antonio family for year #6! ❤️ At Intercultural Talent, we love helping these amazing college interns discover their unique strengths. These are the leaders who are going to make 'Social Justice' a reality in our San Antonio nonprofits.
Watching them realize that 'Everyone Leads' when they own their natural talents is the best part of our job. Cheers to another great cohort! 🥂✨
