09/11/2023
Every year on 9/11, I sit and watch the news coverage the morning of the attacks. It makes me sick to my stomach every time, but I feel I owe it to each of the victims to take the time to remember every emotion of that day. To remember the tragedy, loss, fear, hope, and impact of the September 11th attacks and the days that followed.
Today, I will hug my children & husband a little tighter and a little longer, I will say a thank you to a first responder, and I will listen. Today I reflect and honor those who lost their lives, the first responders and citizens who are still living with the impact of this tragedy (physically & mentally), and the men and women who would risk their lives again in the face of danger if it meant one more person could live.
