Sorry for the Disruption 💛

When my son was born and I had to go back to work, I realized something: paying a $3,000 placement fee to a traditional nanny agency just to get a list of nannies didn’t make sense. I would still need to manage contracts, payroll taxes, PTO, and figure out what to do if the nanny got sick or went out of town. And even then, the agency only guaranteed the nanny for 90 days. From a parent’s perspective, it just didn’t add up.

I knew I wasn’t the only parent thinking this was a bad deal.

From my own nanny experience, I knew the other side wasn’t fair either. I got sick but still had to work. I worked for two surgeons, which meant calling in sick could cancel surgeries for the day. I missed family vacations, worked through strep, flu, pink eye, and constantly juggled schedules. There had to be a better way.

That’s why I created Twinkle Toes Nanny Agency: a network of nannies and families connected through proprietary software that solves the biggest problems of the old agency model.

Gratitude Leaf Sorting Activity 🍁

Turn fall leaves into a fun, hands-on learning adventure for kids!

Materials:
Real or faux leaves 🍂
Bowls or baskets
Markers ✏️
Paper for graphing (optional)

Instructions:
1️⃣ Gather a mix of leaves from outside or use colorful faux leaves.
2️⃣ Ask the kids to sort the leaves by color, size, or shape into bowls or baskets.
3️⃣ Encourage them to create patterns or simple graphs on paper using the leaves as inspiration.
4️⃣ Discuss what they notice – Which color do we have the most of? The least? Which shapes are similar?
