GLAMOUR & GATHER ✨ Always a Bridesmaid
An intimate dinner series bringing women together around local tables and meaningful conversation. 💕

Last week, I had the opportunity to host Glamour & Gather, a monthly dinner series Lisa Alfaro put together to bring local women together in a more personal and meaningful way with Café y Conexión: San Antonio Women in Business.

Of course, I had to add a little Hot Mess to Impress spin and chose an “Always a Bridesmaid” theme. 👗 When I’m decluttering closets, I often come across old bridesmaid dresses we’ve outgrown, will probably never wear again, but still can’t seem to let go of.

I even planned to wear the dress from my sister’s wedding 10+ years ago, only to discover it definitely did NOT fit anymore. 😂 Thankfully, a friend came through with one of hers! (Also do not zoom in on my eye! I got a
subconjunctival hemorrhage the day before 🫣)

We spent the evening laughing, sharing stories, answering some fun questions and getting to know each other beyond the typical business networking conversation.

The only requirement for hosting was to choose a local woman owned San Antonio restaurant, bring everyone together and create the evening.

And when you ARE ready to let go of those bridesmaid or formal dresses taking up space in your closet, consider being a little more intentional about where you donate them instead of just sending them off with your regular donation pile. 👗 There are some wonderful organizations right here in San Antonio that accept gently used formal dresses and give them a second life by helping local girls find dresses for prom and other special events. I’m sharing a few of those resources in this post! 💕

Are we keeping the mismatched hangers? NO, SIR! 🙅🏻‍♀️

One of the quickest closet upgrades you can make is swapping out those plastic, wire, and mismatched hangers for matching ones.

Matching hangers instantly streamline your closet, reduce visual clutter, and make the entire space feel more organized and elevated.

Such a simple change. HUGE upgrade. ✨

Happy First Day of School! ✏️📚🍎 Whether your kids started today, have already been back, or are getting ready to start soon, here we go! 🤍

With all those papers, projects, awards and artwork about to start coming home, I wanted to share one of my favorite ways to keep the special things without keeping EVERYTHING: a school memory box!

And you can start one at any age. All you really need is:

✨ A file box
✨ Hanging file folders (they come in so many cute colors!)
✨ Labels or printable grade labels
✨ A name label for the front

Create a folder for each school year and save only the things that are truly special. Awards, favorite artwork, sweet writing samples, special projects, etc.

The key is to be selective. The box is the limit! Once you realize you only have so much space, it becomes much easier to decide what is actually worth keeping.

And those GIANT preschool projects and poster boards? 😂 You do NOT have to keep them all. Take a picture! You still have the memory without having to store the physical item for the next 15 years.

The goal isn’t to save everything your child brings home. It’s to save just enough that one day they can open this box and get a little snapshot of their childhood. 🥹🤍

BONUS: First day pics of my own kids! 📸 We officially have a 5th grader and an 8th grader. The last year of elementary for one and the last year of middle school for the other. How did we get here?! 🥹

Happy school year, everyone! ✏️📚

New home + blank shelves = SO much fun. 🤍✨

There’s just something about starting fresh in a new home and creating systems that make sense from day one.

Before we unpack your pantry, you’ll fill out a Pantry Questionnaire so we can learn how your family lives, what you actually use, and the vision you have for your new space.

Because every pantry is different. New shelves. New dimensions. New layout. New possibilities.

Sometimes the organizing products from your old home work perfectly… and sometimes they just don’t. And that’s okay! We’ll figure out what works best for THIS home.

Then we unpack, declutter as needed, create zones, add the right products, and give everything a home from the start.

Nothing beats that fresh-house feeling… especially when the boxes disappear AND you’re organized. 🙌🏼

Moving soon? Let us unpack + organize your new home so you can start this chapter with systems already in place. 🏡

Less physical clutter = less mental stress. 🤍

Even a small pantry can feel functional when it has simple systems. The key isn’t having more space, it’s using the space you have intentionally.

✨ Focus on keeping your pantry primarily for food.
✨ Create zones (breakfast, snacks, baking, dinner, drinks, etc.).
✨ Declutter expired items and donate what you won’t use.
✨ Rehome paper towels, small appliances, bulk items, or extra household supplies to another storage area if possible.
✨ Use bins and risers to maximize vertical space and keep like items together.

A pantry doesn’t have to be big to work well. With the right systems, it can be easier to maintain, easier to shop from, and a whole lot less overwhelming.

Save this for your next pantry reset! 🫶

Closet upgrade 🤍✨

When our client and her husband downsized from a large home to a luxury apartment, their goal was to create a closet that felt intentional, functional, and beautiful.

She had already done a great job decluttering, but Ami Chouravong Teodosio helped her realize she was ready to let go of even more. Once we created that extra space, we made a few strategic upgrades that completely transformed the closet.

✨ Added shoe organizers that doubled the shoe storage while creating a beautiful display
✨ Showcased her purses
✨ Repurposed the bulky shoe organizer to another space where it worked better
✨ Color-coded her wardrobe
✨ Removed unnecessary plastic shelving
✨ Created a dedicated display for her hats
✨ Organized jewelry and accessories

A few intentional products, a better layout, and thoughtful editing made this closet feel bigger, brighter, and so much more functional. 🤍
