This remodel gave our client a new bathroom AND a new mindset. ✨

Living with the basics during her remodel helped her realize how little she actually used. She was ready to let go of the old makeup and bathroom products she’d been storing and be intentional about what came back into her new space.

For high-achieving women who already have so much on their minds, a simpler home can feel like a deep breath. Fewer decisions. Less to manage. A place for everything.

Still swooning over this pantry 🤎 As soon as I saw it, I knew the clients baskets worked. We just needed to add some weight to the top and bottom shelves, create the missing zones, and make that first view into the pantry feel pretty by tucking away the appliances and less-aesthetic items.

A few of my pantry must-haves: turntables, playing with different textures and labels.

Had the most lovely day at The SHE Experience today 🩷 And I have to say, it was pretty nice getting dressed up and out of my work clothes for the day too!

It was so special being surrounded by so many POWERFUL women I’ve built relationships with over the years, while also meeting some new women in business here in San Antonio.

I learned a few things, heard a few things that really hit home and even brought some tears to my eyes, and had such a full-circle moment reconnecting with Olga Carr . She was part of the very first networking group I joined three years ago when I was just starting to put myself out there and grow my business.

Today was such a good reminder of how important it is to surround yourself with women who inspire you, encourage you, and understand the journey of building something of your own. So grateful for days like this and the women I’ve met along the way. 🩷

GLAMOUR & GATHER ✨ Always a Bridesmaid
An intimate dinner series bringing women together around local tables and meaningful conversation. 💕

Last week, I had the opportunity to host Glamour & Gather, a monthly dinner series Lisa Alfaro put together to bring local women together in a more personal and meaningful way with Café y Conexión: San Antonio Women in Business.

Of course, I had to add a little Hot Mess to Impress spin and chose an “Always a Bridesmaid” theme. 👗 When I’m decluttering closets, I often come across old bridesmaid dresses we’ve outgrown, will probably never wear again, but still can’t seem to let go of.

I even planned to wear the dress from my sister’s wedding 10+ years ago, only to discover it definitely did NOT fit anymore. 😂 Thankfully, a friend came through with one of hers! (Also do not zoom in on my eye! I got a
subconjunctival hemorrhage the day before 🫣)

We spent the evening laughing, sharing stories, answering some fun questions and getting to know each other beyond the typical business networking conversation.

The only requirement for hosting was to choose a local woman owned San Antonio restaurant, bring everyone together and create the evening.

And when you ARE ready to let go of those bridesmaid or formal dresses taking up space in your closet, consider being a little more intentional about where you donate them instead of just sending them off with your regular donation pile. 👗 There are some wonderful organizations right here in San Antonio that accept gently used formal dresses and give them a second life by helping local girls find dresses for prom and other special events. I’m sharing a few of those resources in this post! 💕

Happy First Day of School! ✏️📚🍎 Whether your kids started today, have already been back, or are getting ready to start soon, here we go! 🤍

With all those papers, projects, awards and artwork about to start coming home, I wanted to share one of my favorite ways to keep the special things without keeping EVERYTHING: a school memory box!

And you can start one at any age. All you really need is:

✨ A file box
✨ Hanging file folders (they come in so many cute colors!)
✨ Labels or printable grade labels
✨ A name label for the front

Create a folder for each school year and save only the things that are truly special. Awards, favorite artwork, sweet writing samples, special projects, etc.

The key is to be selective. The box is the limit! Once you realize you only have so much space, it becomes much easier to decide what is actually worth keeping.

And those GIANT preschool projects and poster boards? 😂 You do NOT have to keep them all. Take a picture! You still have the memory without having to store the physical item for the next 15 years.

The goal isn’t to save everything your child brings home. It’s to save just enough that one day they can open this box and get a little snapshot of their childhood. 🥹🤍

BONUS: First day pics of my own kids! 📸 We officially have a 5th grader and an 8th grader. The last year of elementary for one and the last year of middle school for the other. How did we get here?! 🥹
