Customer calls: “Our breading station isn’t getting cold.”

I looked at it for about 0.1 seconds. 😂

Cap tube was cold (literally just felt it with my finger). Been doing this long enough to know what that usually means — she’s low on refrigerant charge.

Got a tap on it, put some R-290 back in the system, and got that thing pulling temperature again.

Just like that, they’re back in business and ready to survive the weekend rush. No spoiled product. No downtime.

Customer was HAPPY! 🙂

And for anyone wondering, the capillary tube on this machine is brazed to the suction line. This actually categorizes it as a heat exchanger. Can you tell I used to train technicians? 😆

3,200lbs of ice a day. Two machines. One shared bin.

When Main Event called Appliance Bros LLC, they were getting ice from a restaurant across the street. That's unacceptable for a business this busy.

They called me, and I was there that same night. I diagnosed the issues, put together an estimate, and was back the very next day making the repairs.

During the repair, I also found evidence of a short-circuited wire and made sure my customer knew about it. They deserve to know everything going on with their equipment-that's how you keep a business running at its best.

Now they can keep the ice flowing and focus on what they do best: bowling, arcade games, drinks, pool, and having a damn good time.

Before replacing parts or just adding refrigerant, we find the leak.

Using UV dye and a blacklight, we can pinpoint exactly where refrigerant is escaping, so the repair gets done right the first time not just patched over.

“Fridge cooled fine before we moved.”

That broken glass chiller had the whole place using an ice-well just to keep glasses chilly for Spurs game nights 🥶🍻

We got there, got the reach-in back up and running within hours, and that icehouse was back to doing what it’s supposed to do — serving cold glasses instead of being a backup plan 😎

Spurs fans stayed happy, the bar got back to normal, and everybody won that night 🏀🔥
