A confined space can present hazards that aren't immediately visible.
Proper training can help workers and supervisors recognize confined-space hazards, understand required procedures, identify when atmospheric testing is necessary, maintain effective communication, and prepare for emergencies before work begins.
Safety training alone cannot eliminate every hazardโbut combined with proper hazard assessment, engineering controls, procedures, supervision, and emergency planning, it can help reduce the risk of serious incidents.
The goal isn't to react after an incident.
The goal is to recognize the hazard before it happens.
