On their Google profile from April to September 2026: 26,806 interactions, 11,941 direction requests and 610 calls.

Google has begun labeling local business listings as an “AI Overview” and putting an AI written description of your company where your own information used to lead. The box that shows your hours, phone number, photos and reviews when somebody searches your business by name is being replaced by a few sentences a model wrote about you. If those sentences are wrong or out of date, there is no button to correct them.

This is not a rumor and it is not an official Google announcement either. It is a live change being served to real searchers right now, and the honest framing matters because it determines what you should actually do about it.
