Walk a fall event twice before opening the gates: once as people arrive and once as they leave.

Check where lines form, which entrances and exits are in use, how staff share a change, who receives a concern, and what route is reserved for an emergency.

Before the last person leaves:

• confirm doors and access points are secured;
• know who is still onsite;
• report lighting, lock, alarm, or equipment problems through the correct route;
• confirm emergency and escalation instructions; and
• hand off any unusual condition that the next shift needs to know.
