"The Lone Star State made history yesterday! Texans voted to approve Proposition 14, authorizing a $3 billion investment to fund Dementia Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (DPRIT). This will create the largest state-funded dementia research program in the country.

This is a major win for the Alzheimer's and dementia community, both in Texas and across the country, as DPRIT will drive scientific breakthroughs, attract world-class researchers and create thousands of jobs across the state.

Thank you to our dedicated advocates who made their voices heard every step of the way - from the introduction of DPRIT legislation to the ballot box. And thank you to every Texan who supported the movement. Your vote will make Texas a national leader in the fight to and accelerate dementia research. alz.org/ yeson14"
