It’s a “Plus Ultra” kind of day! Gotta finish a bid sheet for a new construction project, find a buyer for my owner finance notes, build a new website, set up a business bank account for a new business, follow up on leads, and get myself organized! Went to IKEA today with .thecloser to price some furniture for an upcoming Air BnB project we have. He had his kids with him. His daughter asked him “Is Mike getting a new house? Are you helping him pick out stuff?” He said no, then she thought for a little bit and asked “Are we getting a new house?” Alex chuckled a little and began to explain what an Air BnB is as an investment property and that we were looking for ideas. I just thought it was really cool to see how he’s teaching his kids about real estate and business. So I snapped this pic when they weren’t looking so I can share an honest take of behind the scenes. Gotta start em young and teach them financial literacy, God knows they won’t learn that at school…

Ever wonder how ATMs work? Me too! That’s how I started down this road. It turns out a single ATM can produce, on average, just about the same amount of net cash flow as a rental property...but for a fraction of the cost. It’s definitely been a fun and exciting (crazy) year so far.

I’m working on something big-ish. C&M is both a business and a holding company to more efficiently manage my various ventures. For the first time in my companies short history, the very real possibility of merging two of my ventures is coming to fruition. From a great idea and concept to the realization of a mutually beneficial relationship, I am going to be working with two people I admire, respect and happy to call a friend or even brother. It’s not a done deal yet, but I’m excited nonetheless. It’s one step closer to not just my goals, but the goals of my partners and the aspirations of the teams we’re building. This should be fun!
