Crisis has become spectacle.

Tragedy, death, violence, and loss move quickly through our feeds. We watch, react, grieve, debate — and then another crisis arrives.

But conflict does not have to become crisis.

When conflict goes unexamined, it creates tension. When tension goes unresolved, it can metastasize into crisis.

Poetic Pause: Heart of a Healer is an invitation to slow down and remember our responsibility to one another

A Word from Courage:

A short musing on finding peace in times of suffering.

Sometimes life places us in postures we did not choose: grief, uncertainty, conflict, endings, transitions, or pain. But perhaps peace is not always found by escaping the posture. Sometimes it begins by softening into the question:

How might I reduce or alleviate my suffering?

This week’s musing reflects on yoga, suffering, symbolic death, compassion, and the emotional flexibility required to meet life as it is.

Crafting Care: A Kintsugi Guide to Human Connection

Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery, reminds us that brokenness is not the end of a story.
It can be part of how something becomes whole again— if there is care present.

This experience is designed as a HEALshop™, not a traditional workshop.

Rather than focusing on fixing or solving,
we create space to explore.

A space where head, heart, and art meet—
and where participants can engage relationships in a more embodied, intentional way.

Participants are welcome to attend individually or with someone in their life.

This is a small cohort designed for presence, depth, and meaningful engagement

If this resonates with where you are,
you’re welcome to join us.

Nothing more.
Nothing less.
Just care.

Every day in the world, we are navigating the tension between control and chaos. And in the midst of that—things shatter. Relationships strain. Things get neglected.

Sometimes, we are what gets neglected. Human connection is the very thing that sustains us when everything else begins to fall apart.

This is why I’m introducing:

Crafting Care: A Kintsugi Guide to Human Connection

Because the art and philosophy of Kintsugi reminds us—there is beauty in brokenness,if we are willing to help each other carry the pieces.

This is not a traditional workshop. This is a HEALshop™—a space where we don’t rush to fix or solve, but take time to explore. A space where head, heart, and art come together to create a relational, embodied experience.

Over three weeks, we will journey through the practice of care in relationship through art. This is a small, intentional cohort. If this resonates with you, we invite you to come join us.

Nothing more.

Nothing less.

Just care.

If you’ve felt the grief, the heaviness, the overwhelm of violence in our world—I have too. When the weight became too much, I turned to poetry. Poetic Pause is a poetic memorial—an offering meant to help us transform grief into possibility, to turn grief into healing, because poetry is a place where pain can find a soft spot to heal.

Poetic Pause: Hush Harbor
A Two-Hour Contemplative Rest Experience

In a world full of chaos and uncertainty, sometimes the only thing we can do is pause.

Wouldn’t it be nice to pause together rather than alone?

On March 15th from 3–5 PM at The Block Club in Southeast San Diego, we’re gathering for a collective rest experience shaped by silence, African American sacred music, and live poetry.

Inspired by the hush harbors — quiet gatherings where people once met to sing, reflect, and sustain one another — this installation invites you into shared stillness.

Bring a mat.
Bring a journal.
Bring yourself.

You may recline. You may rest. You may simply listen.

Nothing more. Nothing less. Just a pause.

🎟 Limited Capacity

Come rest.
