Restoring a GE Microwave with a Magnetron Replacement – $220 Repair coast.
Today’s project was a GE microwave model JVM7195EK3ES, manufactured in December 2018. The customer reported that the microwave had stopped heating altogether.
After a thorough diagnosis, we found the culprit — the magnetron had failed. The magnetron is the key component responsible for heating in a microwave. In addition, we checked all essential parts, including the diode and fuses, to ensure the unit would operate reliably after the repair.
We replaced the faulty magnetron (model OM75P-21-ESGN, Samsung), tested the diode, and inspected all electrical connections. Once the new magnetron was installed, the microwave was back to working like new!
Cost: This repair cost $220. The price for microwave repairs can vary depending on the parts needed. We offer two types of replacement parts:
• Factory Parts: Original parts from the manufacturer.
• Substitute Parts: High-quality alternatives that are often more affordable.
The customer decides which option to go with based on their preferences and budget, and we ensure top-quality service regardless of the choice.
