I’m back on the torch and slowing things way down by running a set of hollow-form studies, repeating the same silhouettes in clear, color, and black/white. The aim isn’t finished work, but attention and containment, wall thickness, staying on axis, and noticing what changes when I’m not rushing toward an outcome.

These are practice pieces. I’m treating the bench less like a place to produce and more as a place to focus on what the glass is actually doing.

Built this greenhouse out of old windows and scraps. Sometimes old worn out looking materials can be reworked into something whole. I started a new project called Steadwell helping people downsize, organize, or calmly move from one headspace to another. It’s a little different than blowing glass, but I’m still transforming materials into something usable. If you know someone who could use that kind of help, please point them my way. Sometimes the hardest part is getting started and I’m here for that conversation.

Freshly potted lemon tree in a new mini blown glass flower pot. This pot was made with a wrapping technique that I learned about shop in 1997. No one does this pattern more or better than Bryan and Eliza . If you sell American made glass and don’t already buy from them, you are missing out. This piece was made with red, orange, and yellow wrapped over a China white tube and then encased in clear. There is no telling which color company made the cadmium colors cause every time I shop, I never know what will be in stock and I forgot to label my color stick. 😆 Thanks for checking out this little piece by me
