I think our beauty industry needs to have more conversations about the discount culture we’ve created and what we’re teaching clients to value.

We don’t need another promotion. We need to get better at showing clients why our services are worth paying for.

It's time to shift the focus.

Instead of automatically offering a discount, ask yourself:
🌟 How can I improve my skills?
🌟 How can I communicate my expertise better?
🌟 How can I improve the client experience?
🌟 What gives clients a reason to come back, refer others, and trust me with their services?

Reward loyalty. Reward referrals. Use promotions intentionally and with a strategy behind them.

Are you using the high-frequency machine correctly?

High frequency can be such a valuable part of a facial, especially after manual facial extractions, but only when you understand how and when to use it.

One thing I often see is estheticians using the orange electrode on oily, acne-prone skin or ingrown hairs without realizing that the different electrode colors have different purposes.

✅ Knowing the difference matters. If you’re using high frequency to help disinfect the skin after extractions or calm irritated follicles after waxing, you want to make sure you’re choosing the appropriate electrode and using the machine correctly.
