Kel Kel, the closest thing to Coach Dan Cerrillo himself. Kellan is one of our top Spartan 7 Adventure coaches. At the age of 16 he began working closely with Dan to help run our adventure courses and has now stepped up to fill his father’s shoes. But don’t worry he’s a much sweeter coach than Dan ;)

What these four men did over the last few weeks was unquestionably incredible. We fell in love with their passion, their respect, their professionalism, and their strength of character. 🙌

But it's worth mentioning that in the process of doing this, they didn't just sneak in ahead of the all-American record...they absolutely obliterated it! 💥💥

We've been looking through the record books, and the previous fastest All-American crew of four was Fight Oar Die (the 2019 iteration of the team that were sadly rescued during this race) who did it in 50 days and 11 hours and 35 minutes. 🚣‍♂️

These four superhumans have done something amazing here - they have set a new standard, and they are now the team to beat beat for all future All-American attempts to pit their strength against the might of the Atlantic Ocean. 🌊

A few years ago my bro Jimbo Hein called me and asked me if I wanted to row a boat across the Atlantic Ocean. As much as I wanted to say yes I knew how much damage my stroke had caused my body and I said “I can’t” for one of the first times in my life. But I did know the perfect guys who were crazy enough to step up and not only do the row but who could actually win it. and .crookedbutterfly were the men who relished in incredible tasks like this. I admire these men so much as they were my rocks during struggles and never judged me or allowed me to make excuses. As they finish this epic event I want everyone to know what these men stand for. These men do not talk they simply do. In a world where talk is just bs cheapness these men not only GIVE but they also SEEK. They give so much to so many but they also seek so much inside themselves. They seek peace, they seek the ability to make others smile and they seek ways to let there queens know how much they mean .carroll. You see these men like me are so very far from perfect. The gifts of powerful bodies and rock solid minds god gave us are blessing and a curse. We work and love hard and big and we fail and hide our pain in even bigger ways. These four men are showing men like me that we can once again be powerful despite the pain we feel, we can give, we can make people smile and we can allow ourselves to heal.
