Seriously...this guy is not pulling his weight. He hasn’t even completed one employee handbook. 😉
If you have a pup like this on your team, don’t avoid the uncomfortable conversation. When an employee is not meeting performance expectations, it’s a time to reflect on what’s happening.
Are they clear on the job expectations? Do they have the tools and skills to meet those expectations? Are there any roadblocks to meeting expectations?
When a leader approaches the conversation from a place of support, there is an opportunity to learn and improve the situation. Then use your job description and performance indicators to measure success and hold your employee accountable.
