The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) tapped 10 digital health innovators for their su***de prevention solutions as part of its $20 million Mission Daybreak grand challenge. 1300 pitches whittled down to 30 finalists then 10 winners. It's incredibly encouraging to see the number of organizations committed to addressing su***de prevention in our military and veteran population. These people deserve everything we've got to give!

Veterans 2nd Amendment Protection Act or H.R. 705 reintroduced by the chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee to "ensure that no veteran loses their Second Amendment right to bear arms simply because VA appoints someone to help them manage their VA benefits."

The Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion both issued statements Friday in support of the bill. "Veterans should not be concerned that they could lose their Second Amendment rights when seeking mental health assistance," agreed American Legion National Commander Vincent Troiola in an issued statement.

Over the past 2 years, the VA paid out $201 million in retroactive benefits to nearly 7,000 “blue water” Navy Vietnam War veterans and their survivors in connection to exposure to Agent Orange. We applaud the determination of those who pursue justice for our veterans. Thank you for not giving up!
