Resubmiting this just in case you missed it....
Even if social distancing & home isolation lasts longer than any of us imagined,,,BE ENCOURAGED. We Can move forward! I'm sharing this following list because I hope to inspire and motivate you to Heal and Remember that often there are valuable lessons to take with us as we leave hard times in the past... DON'T FORGET ALL YOUR HARD TIMES. Rather LEARN FROM HARD TIMES!
Reflect on and list Good habits(your values and passions ) you've perhaps rekindled like; a. taking care of yourself, b. reaching out to care for others (there is a lot you can do to encourage and help others even while practicing 'social distancing', c. phone one or two friends each day just to say you are still thinking and caring about them, d. smile and laugh, e. share passions, talents, personal gifts (we forget sometimes how truly gifted we are.
After you've reflected on your values and passions, create New Goals to support them. Write your goals down or do as I like to do, illustrate your goals with cutouts from magazines glued or taped to a piece of poster board. Then post your goal poster where you see it daily.
When I did this exercise I discovered I will be 'moving forward' even though life currently feels kind'of feels like it has come to a sudden slow down...
By pursuing Hope-FULL activities ( (Not by dwelling on past or current hardships).
Instead; choose joy, celebrate and refocus on the following; relaxing, trying new things, exercising, writing and sending notes of encouragement ; cooking, filling, creating, entertaining, memorizing, and planning for your future, DOING, simplifying, and embracing our values, passions, and new or rekindled goals will help all of us to MOVE BEYOND HARD TIMES.!
In closing, please remember, "Go slow, ask questions. learn. and have fun!" There is No rush, One last bit of personal advise, we are going to have days when we overdo all the wrong things. I had the covid blues yesterday. I ate too many sugary things, over slept, and watched too much TV. Still my ongoing goal is to spend more time today spending more time choosing Joy. I must ask myself and you, when will you get started doing the same - if not now then when?
