Found a primitive farm bench that’s probably at least 100 years old on the other day and just had to have it, so I drove 45 min away to get it yesterday morn. She’s done! With a little love, hurting fingers (from prying off all the bad fake florals someone had previously glued into her twigs), and some dried florals from , the formerly hideous thrifted wreath from my stories is now the star of my autumnal fireplace 🍂

My go to’s to impress guests are as follows: 1. basically any seasonal fruit in a galette 2. homemade raw milk maple vanilla ice cream. This recent morning included both. The galette was filled with a warren pear and thyme concoction and might have become my new favorite it was sooo good

Praying the temp drops out of the 90’s soon so I can get back to all my refinishing projects (this coffee table being one of them, I’m going to restore it to a non orange-y hue) without a side of sweat facial in my respirator. Found this irresistibly lovely old oak dresser for free and falling to pieces in someone’s driveway. Put her back together with some finishing nails and love and styled her up real quick with some things from around my home. Eventually I’ll sand her down and restore the beauty of her natural oak, but I’m enjoying her how she is until I get my other projects completed. I couldn’t say no when I saw all the keyholes on all the drawers! It’s one of my favorite details to find on antiques 😍

It’s September 1st and I noticed the light change three days ago and the fall vibes start, but the truth is that we are gearing up for another heat wave with 98-105 degree highs again. Fall come soon cause this girl is over the heat and just ready for some sweaters and cozy wood burning fires. Photo from last year in SF 🍂
